Washington DC’s Rock Abruham discusses his come up and the hunger he still has to make it big. His ability to focus his frustration and ambitions to pen dope verses was impressive.

Teeth: The dusty opening notes and sample immediately made me turn up the volume and nod my head. He wastes no time getting to the braggadocio rhymes flipping between his regular voice & a patois. Rock makes it clear that he’s preserving the raw sound & not interested in changing his style to become popular.

Same Clothes: Another strong opening beat, this time it’s thunderous horns and a dope drum arrangement that catch me. On the hook he hovers towards singing, but in the verses he shows off a variety of flows. The highlight is when he shows off a rapid, aggressive flow as the beat switches up.

10k: The grimy beat inspired him to talk his shit and remind listeners that he’s put in his 10k hours of work, so he deserves his spot. Spoken like an elder who’s already put in his work, but ready to keep grinding in order to maintain his place in Hip Hop.

Heel ft/ Quelle Chris: Rock talks about the “heels” to the face that he’s given out to others and assures us that he can give out more if necessary. Quelle Chris adds more cutthroat rhymes, but the spaced out, chill delivery contrasts well with Rock’s style.
