Member-only story
The start of the year is a great time to consider new approaches to the organization’s social media strategy to ensure messaging is consistent with the company’s goals and vision. Last year as priorities shifted I noticed a number of brands decreased their social media presence although users’ screen time increased as stay at home orders were in effect. Social media continues to grow as a top source of news and information, so a strong presence is a must for all organizations.
Below I outline four platforms that are freemium services, meaning they offer an excellent level of services for free and also have plans where users can purchase additional services.
Canva: Canva makes designing your next flyer or social media graphic manageable with thousands of free templates and elements (clip art, shapes, icons). Simply find the best template, insert your information, change the color scheme to match your company’s and you’re good to go. I have used their designs to quickly create flyers for events in 10–15 minutes. The high resolution download option makes sure the flyers will standout on social media. Their Pro Plan starts at $12.95 (up to 5 users) and makes more than 400,000 templates and countless elements available.
