Crissy P, a Seattle born MC residing in Kent, just outside of the city, has joined the countless youth taking to the streets to demand police reform. Just days after the George Floyd incident he headed to the frontlines of Seattle’s protest and witnessed additional abuse towards residents at the hands of police officers. As tear gas and pepper sprayed was unleashed on peaceful protesters, he administered a homemade solution to prevent them from being seriously injured. He added, “I want to be able to tell them (my kids) that I took part in the protests to ensure future generations have a better”.
Over the course of his nearly five year career, he’s dropped four projects filled with social commentary from the perspective of a resilient Latino creative. Earlier this year, he dropped The Eastern Coordinate, a 10-track, 26 minute project that gives you insight into his life, the internal struggles and his commitment to evolving as a person and artist.
