Catching Up: 5 2020 Albums I Caught Onto Late

While 2020 was a great year for Hip Hop new releases 2021 has been off to a slower start. There are projects from this year that I’ve listened to and enjoyed a few times like Bun B & Le$- Distant, R.A.P. Ferreira (Milo)- Bob’s Son, and Pacman da Gunman & Yhung T.O.- Lord Knows. I spend time during the week looking for new releases and not just from the big names, but from anyone who’s talented and there are noticeably fewer releases.

The slow down has given me the opportunity to catch up on the albums that I missed or didn’t take enough time to enjoy. I am not one to complain about there being less new music to hear because there’s so much other music that I haven’t heard. It takes time and effort to find new music, but if you really want to hear it, it’s out there. My audience is good about putting me onto what’s in their rotation, so a few of these came from them. I have also found a few dope projects through submissions for my weekly Discover playlist.
